Welcome to my amazing website. This  will be a great year of learning together. We will be reading great literature, improving our writing, and learning to think in new ways. Together we will accomplish a great deal of growth as you prepare for the next step in your life!

I am here to help you succeed in this class. (You read that correctly. I am here to help you graduate!!!) It is my expectation that you will see me if you need help or further explanation. You may come to my classroom after school or you may reach me by phone or email.

English 12 CP
College Preparatory (CP) English 12 is a chronological survey of British literature that includes the English Middle Ages, Renaissance, Restoration & Enlightenment, Romantic, Victorian and Modernist eras. We will read and analyze an assortment of literary works (organized by genre); write resumes and college application essays; compose expressive, informative, narrative and persuasive writings; perform oral presentations; collaborate in cooperative group activities; participate in class discussions; and complete a comprehensive research project on a significant work of British literature.
AP Literature & Composition
AP Literature & Composition is a college-level course, designed to combine the characteristics of a 100 level college English composition class with the characteristics of a 100 to 200 level college literature class. The specific goal of this AP English course is to have students read literature, think about literature, discuss literature and intelligently write about literature on the college level.
