Welcome to the Culinary Arts Program at Dover High School!!!  I am excited to be sharing my knowledge of the Culinary World with my students.  I am a DHS graduate that attended Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island to study Baking & Pastry Arts and Foodservice Management.  My students will gain real world knowledge and hands-on experience in a "state of the art" kitchen!!!  Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

Culinary Arts I
An introduction into the Culinary Arts World.....exploring safety and sanitations and basic kitchen skills and more!!!!
Culinary Arts II
This is a mid-level course designed to train and prepare students for a career in the Food Service Industry. Students will demonstrate safety and sanitation using the HACCP system used by the food service industry to ensure food safety. Students will identify and use large utensils, appliances and equipment during the preparation of foods. Reading, planning, designing and preparing meals and menus are the emphasis throughout the kitchen experiences. Investigation of food industry careers and qualifications will be explored through the use of technology and guest speakers.
Culinary Arts III
This course builds on previous skills from Culinary I & II and will prepare students for entry level positions in the Food Service Industry. Students will develop a solid foundation for proven culinary theory of which students can build a repertoire of professional or home cooking skills. Students will integrate knowledge, skills and practices for careers in food preparation, food distribution and food services. This course is designed to allow students to work independently and in groups in a kitchen laboratory setting to prepare nutritious foods while demonstrating work place skills. Students will be prepared to take the ServSafe Exam and the final ProStart exam in this course.
